MAIN GOALS
Diffusion and improvement of the breed. Selection and development of physic and psychic
qualities of this dog breed. To organise Hunting tests and Shows.
YEARLY EXHIBITION
Every year the Club celebrates its Breed Exhibition. During the Show the
morphology of the dogs is valued in order to determine that they are appropriate to the
kind of hunting work they should carry out. Up to now has being judged by the most
notorious judges of this breed in the World. During this Show it is put at stake the CAC
of Beauty and this point is mandatory to obtain the Championship of Spain.
The Show is accompanied by a Test of Natural Aptitudes (PAN), for very young dogs, the
degree of training is not valued in it; a Test for Beginners, called "Diploma
de Iniciacion". Is a simple field test for young dogs that start in the Field Trials.
The training is valued; a Versatility Test, with scent work, field work,
retrieve and water work included; and a higher level regular Field Trial, generally with
attribution of CACT-CACIT.
The General Assembly of Members is takes normally place during this event.
OTHER TESTS
The Club organises other Tests of Natural Aptitudes and Beginners in different places of
the country, according to the needs.
Every year we usually organise in autumn Field Trials, valid for the election of
the Team representing Spain in the World Championship of Pointing Dogs, generally putting
at stake the CACIT.
The Club had always an important role in the organisation of Spring Trials and in
short of the called Andalusian Week of Spring Field Trials for Continental Pointers. Takes
place in the month of February and they are of the more important Field Trials for
Pointing Dogs in the World. The best judges, handlers and trainers are every year present.
